Caribbean BELLE magazine, a product of Safari Publications, is a
quarterly lifestyle women's magazine, published in the Caribbean.
Tailored for the holistic woman, it aims at balancing relevant and
exciting issues through thoughtfully and sensitively written articles.
The word 'Belle' means beautiful in French and the term 'Caribbean
Belle' echoes the French influence in the Caribbean during the days of
slavery.
The two-year old magazine has featured legendary Caribbean fashion
designers, including Meiling, Peter Elias, Claudia Pegus, Bobby
Ackbarali and Heather Jones; various Caribbean beauties have also
graced its covers. But the magazine offers even more than that.
It gets down and gritty with topics that affect every woman— including
health and beauty, psychology and relationships, working women,
safety, stories for emotional and spiritual well-being, as well as
everything that women love about the Caribbean including travel, food,
and art.
Aliyyah Eniath, BELLE's editor in chief, differentiates BELLE on the
basis that it is 'mature', 'topic driven' and 'stylish' enough to
satisfy a 'spectrum' of women.
The magazine was launched on January 2006, with eight issues being
printed thus far. Twenty thousand copies are printed each issue. The
publication has a mainly Caribbean readership (with distributors in
Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Grenada, Antigua, Dominica and the
United States).
